Nos. 86-735, 86-736.
May 13, 1986.
Appeals from non-final orders of the Circuit Court for Dade County; Edward N. Moore, Judge.
Morgan, Lewis Bockius, William L. Gardner, Robert S. Schlossberg, Washington, D.C., Lowell L. Garrett and Gary S. Koenigsberg, Miami, for appellants.
Bailey Dawes and Mercedes C. Busto, Beasley, Olle, Downs Keihner, Miami, Wilmer, Cutler Pickering and Roger M. Witten, M. Carolyn Cox, Bruce M. Berman, James Sottile, IV, Washington, D.C., for appellees.
Before SCHWARTZ, C.J., and BASKIN and JORGENSON, JJ.
Agreeing that the contacts with the State of Florida of both appellant Pilkington Brothers plc. and appellant Chance Pilkington Limited were sufficient to warrant the trial court's exercise of personal jurisdiction pursuant to the long-arm statute, we affirm the order denying appellants' motions to dismiss. § 48.193(1)(a), Fla. Stat. (1985); see Burger King Corp. v. Rudzewicz, ___ U.S. ___, 105 S.Ct. 2174, 85 L.Ed.2d 528 (1985); Waldrip v. Dyal Sales Co., 436 So.2d 418 (Fla. 1st DCA 1983); Anson v. Lemperuer, 390 So.2d 478 (Fla. 1st DCA 1980).
Affirmed.
