PEDRO OSCAR CASTILLO JR. A/K/A PEDRO CASTILLO, Appellant, v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee.

Do not publish. Tex.R.App.P. 47.2(b).

On appeal from the 107th District Court of Cameron County, Texas.

Before Chief Justice Contreras and Justices Silva and Peña

ORDER TO FILE APPELLANT'S BRIEF

PER CURIAM

This cause is before the Court on appellant's fourth motion for extension of time to file appellant's brief. Appellant's brief was originally due on May 18, 2023. After three previous extensions, appellant's brief was due to be filed on October 30, 2023. On November 2, 2023, the Clerk of the Court sent appellant notice that no further extensions would be granted absent new and exigent circumstances.

However, the Court, having fully examined and considered appellant's fourth motion for extension of time to file the brief and the extensions previously granted in this cause, is of the opinion that, in the interest of justice, appellant's fourth motion for extension of time to file the brief should be granted by order.

IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the Honorable Cesar de Leon, counsel for appellant, file the appellate brief with this Court on or before 5:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
