ANTHONY CASTANEDA, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 228th District Court Harris County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 1505705

Panel Consists of Justices Zimmerer, Spain, and Poissant.

ORDER

PER CURIAM.

The reporter's record in this case was originally due May 16, 2022. See Tex. R. App. P. 35.1. On that day, this court granted the court reporter an extension to June 15, 2022 to file the reporter's record. Although one volume of the reporter's record has been filed with this court, the remainder has not. Because the full reporter's record has not been filed timely, we issue the following order.

We order Sariah Garcia and Cindy Barsley, the court reporters for the 228th District Court, to complete filing the record in this appeal within 30 days of the date of this order. No further extension will be entertained absent exceptional circumstances. The trial and appellate courts are jointly responsible for ensuring that the appellate record is timely filed. See Tex. R. App. P. 35.3(c). If the court reporters do not timely file the record as ordered, we may issue an order directing the trial court to conduct a hearing to determine the reason for the failure to file the record.
