MARIA G. BETANCOURT CASTANEDA, ET AL., Petitioners v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Emin Toro Judge

On April 4, 2022, these cases were called and recalled from the calendar at the Court's San Francisco, California, trial session. Counsel for both petitioners and respondent appeared and were heard. Petitioners' counsel made an oral motion for continuance. Respondent offered no objection and requested that the Court retain jurisdiction and order the parties to file status reports. By Order served April 8, 2022, among other things, petitioners' oral motion was granted, and the undersigned judge retained jurisdiction.

On August 4, 2023, respondent filed a Status Report. Later on August 4, 2023, respondent filed a second Status Report. The second Status Report appears to be a duplicate of the first Status Report except the caption and docket number of the first Status Report filed in Docket No. 10918-20 do not match the caption and docket number of the case. Accordingly, and for cause, it is hereby

ORDERED that the first Status Report filed August 4, 2023, (Doc. 45 in Docket No. 10918-20 and Doc. 43 in Docket No. 11013-20) is hereby stricken from the Court's record in this case. It is further

ORDERED that, on or before September 7, 2023, the parties shall file with the Court either a joint report (or, if that is not expedient, then separate reports) describing the status of these cases or stipulated decision documents.
