Upon review of the record, it appears that (1) this court informed Appellant Catalina Cabasa by letter dated January 18, 2001 that the time for filing appellant's statement of jurisdiction expired on November 27, 2000 and the time for filing the opening brief expired on December 16, 2000 and, that, pursuant to Rule 30 of the Hawaii Rules of Appellate Procedure, the matter would be called to the attention of the court for such action as the court deemed proper; and (2) on January 26, 2001, appellant's request for relief from default was denied.
