TYRONE BURNETT, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Kathleen Kerrigan Chief Judge

On April 12, 2023, the Court entered a Decision in this case. On July 7, 2023, petitioner filed a notice of appeal with respect to the Court's Decision. On July 24, 2023, petitioner filed with this Court an Application of Waiver of Filing Fee. It appears that by doing so petitioner is requesting the waiver of the filing fee for his appeal. Petitioner is advised that the filing of that application is improper as the Tax Court does not have authority to waive the filing fee for an appeal. Any such request must be filed with the appropriate appellate court using that court's form, if any, for that purpose.

Upon due consideration, it is

ORDERED that petitioner's Application for Waiver of Filing Fee, filed July 24, 2023, is stricken from the Court's record in this case.
