DIVORCE, § 144allowance of solicitor's fees on appeal. Where a decree of divorce was entered in favor of the plaintiff wife, which was modified by the Appellate Court, and the husband was given leave to appeal by the Supreme Court, wherein plaintiff appeared and filed cross errors, and that court reversed the Appellate Court in so far as it modified the decree of the trial court, where the order appealed from was entered by the trial court, it had authority to make an allowance to plaintiff for solicitor's fees and expenses in defending the appeal in the Supreme Court.

Appeal from Superior Court of Cook county; Hon. JOHN J. LUPE, presiding.

Order of the Superior Court partly affirmed and partly reversed with directions. Heard in second division, first district, this court at April term, 1941.
