The applicants, SWN Production (Louisiana), LLC; Nelson Energy, Inc.; Brammer Engineering, Inc.; Search Financial Services, L.P.; Beland Energy, LLC; Beusa Energy, LLC; Chevron Midcontinent, L.P.; and Comstock Oil &Gas-Louisiana, LLC, seek supervisory review of the trial court's May 16, 2023 "Order" granting the plaintiffs' "Motion to Recuse," Judge Amy Burford McCartney. SWN Production (Louisiana), LLC has filed a "Motion to Stay Proceedings" and brief in support, seeking to stay all proceedings in the trial court pending the dispositions of these writ applications. Upon its own motion, this Court hereby consolidates the above-captioned writ applications.
In writ applications No. 55,385-CW, No. 55,402-CW, and No. 55,408-CW, counsels' pro hac vice admission status granted by the trial court is hereby recognized. Exercise of this Court's supervisory jurisdiction is not warranted. Herlitz Const. Co. v. Hotel Investors of New Iberia, 396 So.2d 878 (La. 1981). On the showing made, these writs are denied. The motion for stay is also denied.
