JACOB BROWNSON, Appellant, v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee.

Do not publish. Tex.R.App.P. 47.2(b).

ON APPEAL FROM THE 175TH DISTRICT COURT OF BEXAR COUNTY, TEXAS

Before Chief Justice Contreras and Justices Tijerina and Peña, J.

ORDER

PER CURIAM.

This cause is before the Court on appellant's fourth motion for extension of time to file a brief. Appellant's brief was originally due on April 24, 2024. On June 26, 2024, we granted appellant's third motion for extension of time to file the brief and instructed appellant that no further extensions will be granted absent new and exigent circumstances.

Appellant's counsel provided additional exigent circumstances including a career transition and relocation. The Court, having fully considered the motion and previous extensions, is of the opinion that, in the interest of justice, appellant's brief should now be due by order.

Accordingly, we grant appellant's fourth motion for extension of time to file appellant's brief. IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the Honorable Jorge G. Aristotelidis, counsel for appellant, file appellant's brief with this Court on or before 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2024. No further extensions shall be given absent new and exigent circumstances. If counsel fails to file the brief, as ordered, a show cause hearing shall be set.
