ORDER

MATTHEW W. BRANN CHIEF UNITED STATES DISTRICT JUDGE

AND NOW, this 31st day of May 2024, in accordance with the accompanying Memorandum, IT IS HEREBY ORDERED that:

1. Defendant Susan Watkins' motion (Doc. 47) for summary judgment pursuant to Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 56 is GRANTED.
2. The Clerk of Court is directed to enter judgment in Watkins' favor and against plaintiff Todd Alan Brown as to Brown's Section 1983 claim of Fourteenth Amendment deliberate indifference to serious medical needs.
3. To the extent that Brown raises a Section 1983 First Amendment retaliation claim in his amended complaint, that claim is DISMISSED with prejudice pursuant to 28 U.S.C. § 1915(e)(2)(B)(ii) for failure to state a claim upon which relief may be granted.
4. The Clerk of Court is further directed to CLOSE this case.
