One, with directions to issue an order to show cause The petition for review is granted and the matter is transferred to the Court of Appeal, Fourth Appellate District, Division One, with instructions to vacate its order denying the petition for writ of mandate and to issue an order to show cause before that court when the matter is placed on calendar why the relief sought in the petition should not be granted on the ground that private individuals and entities working on criminal cases at the behest and under the direction of law enforcement are subject to the discovery provisions of Penal Code section 1054.9 and the preservation obligations described in People v. Superior Court (Morales) (2017) 2 Cal.5th 523.

Kruger, J., was absent and did not participate.
