BP AMERICA INC., BP PLC AND BP AMERICA PRODUCTION COMPANY, Appellants v. ESTRELLA SANTIAGO, INDIVIDUALLY AND AS NEXT FRIEND OF CHRISTIAN SANTIAGO, ET AL, Appellees

On Appeal from the 151st District Court Harris County, Texas
Trial Court Cause No. 2014-57278

CONTINUING ABATEMENT ORDER

On January 10, 2017, this court entered an order abating this appeal in order to allow the parties to finalize a settlement agreement. The order stated the appeal would be reinstated on April 10, 2017.

On April 10, 2017, appellants filed an agreed motion to extend the abatement period for an additional 90 days, to allow them to conclude the settlement and obtain a final judgment. The motion is granted. Accordingly, we issue the following order.

The appeal is abated, treated as a closed case, and removed from this court's active docket until July 12, 2017. The appeal will be reinstated on this court's active docket at that time. The court will also consider an appropriate motion to reinstate the appeal filed by either party, or the court may reinstate the appeal on its own motion.
