PARENT AND CHILD, § 3propriety of court's refusal to transfer minor daughters' custody from institution to mother. Under evidence, held that best interests of two minor daughters of divorced white mother, and also best interests of society generally, made it proper for county court to refuse to transfer custody of such daughters from institution to mother, whose home was in mixed white and colored neighborhood, and two of whose other children had all of appearances of children with negro characteristics.

Appeal from the County Court of Madison county; the Hon. WILBUR A. THARES, Judge, presiding.

Judgment affirmed. Heard in this court at the October term, 1944.
