Hughes, J., concurs.

A compromise must be in writing or made in open court on the record. A mandate must be in the same form as required for the thing authorized. An attorney must have written authority from the client to settle the client's claim. Discovery should be allowed to determine whether the attorney had written authorization from the client to settle the claim.
