JAMES ARTHUR BLANKENSHIP, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Kathleen Kerrigan Chief Judge

On August 8, 2023, petitioner electronically filed a set of documents with the Court, designating the filing as a "Stipulation Decision from William M. Paul Acting Chief Counsel Internal Revenue Service." The filing, which appears to consist of proposed decision documents bearing petitioner's signature, suggests that the parties may have resolved their dispute over the underlying tax liability in this case.

In consideration of the foregoing, it is

ORDERED that petitioner's "Stipulation Decision from William M. Paul Acting Chief Counsel Internal Revenue Service" is recharacterized as petitioner's Motion for Entry of Decision. It is further

ORDERED that, on or before September 8, 2023, either (1) respondent shall file a response to petitioner's Motion for Entry of Decision or (2) the parties shall file properly executed proposed decision documents for the Court's consideration.
