ARTHUR BLAKE & MARIE BUTLER-BLAKE, Petitioners v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Christian N. Weiler Judge.

On October 23, 2023, the Court remanded this case to respondent's Independent Office of Appeals (Appeals office) for the purpose of affording petitioners an administrative hearing. On January 23 and March 25, 2024, respondent filed status reports indicating that the Appeals office conducted an administrative hearing with petitioners on December 20, 2023, at which time petitioners presented their amended income tax return for the tax year at issue. The reports stated that the Appeals office was still reviewing the information presented and had not issued a Supplemental Notice of Determination.

On May 9, 2024, respondent filed a similar status report indicating that the Appeals office is still reviewing petitioners' amended income tax return for the year at issue.

Upon due consideration, it is

ORDERED that on or before July 12, 2024, the parties shall file a file joint report (or separate reports, if preferred) regarding the status of this case. It is further

ORDERED that, if and when any Supplemental Notice of Determination is issued to petitioners, respondent at that time shall file a status report and attach thereto a copy of the Supplemental Notice of Determination.
