Appellants' brief was originally due June 24, 2024. We granted appellants' first motion for extension of time, extending the deadline for filing the brief to July 24, 2024. On that date, appellants filed an unopposed motion requesting an additional extension of time to file the brief, stating that the parties were engaged in negotiations to move their dispute to arbitration. We granted the motion and ordered appellants to file either their brief or a status update by August 23, 2024. On August 21, 2024, appellants filed a third motion for extension of time, which stated the parties had agreed on a potential arbitrator and required additional time to finalize their agreement, and we granted the motion.
On September 4, 2024, appellants requested an additional extension of time until October 4, 2024 to allow the parties to draft and file agreements to abate the trial court proceedings and this appeal. After consideration, we GRANT the motion and ORDER appellants to file either their brief or a further status update by October 4, 2024. No further requests for extension of time will be considered absent extraordinary circumstances.
