BOARD OF OVERSEERS OF THE BAR v. CAROLYN M. ASQUITH


TEMPORARY SUSPENSION ORDER

This matter is before the Court on the Board's request for an expedited hearing on its motion asking the Court to temporarily suspended the respondent, Carolyn M. Asquith, from the practice of law. A telephonic hearing was held on July 9, 2012. Bar Counsel J. Scott Davis appeared on behalf of the Board and Attorney C. Walter Smith appeared on behalf of the respondent. Ms. Asquith did not appear.

For good cause demonstrated by the Board, it is hereby ORDERED that Carolyn M. Asquith is suspended from the practice of law effective immediately. A final hearing in this case is scheduled on July 26, 2012. The respondent is granted leave to request an expedited hearing if she moves to set aside the temporary suspension. Any such motion shall be supported by an affidavit establishing good cause for such relief. Date: July 9, 2012
