DORIS BARUCH, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

David Gustafson Judge

This case is related to three other cases--Docket Nos. 10479-20, 10480-20, and 10481-20--in all four of which the parties are represented by the same respective counsel. All four cases are scheduled to be tried at the Tax Court's Washington, DC, trial session beginning May 8, 2023; but petitioners filed in this case a motion to continue (Doc. 29) stating that in the four cases the parties have reached a tentative basis of settlement. In response to our order (Doc. 28), the parties filed in this case a joint status report (Doc. 30) that states, "In the unlikely event that petitioners do not reach a settlement with the Office of Appeals and a trial is required, the parties believe that they should be consolidated." It is

ORDERED that on the Court's own motion the four cases at docket numbers 10478-20, 10479-20, 10480-20 and 10481-20 are consolidated. It is further

ORDERED that the motion to continue is granted, and that all four of the related cases are continued from the calendar of the trial session beginning May 8, 2023, but that the judge signing this order retains jurisdiction over all four cases. It is further

ORDERED that, if the parties have not filed proposed stipulated decisions for all four cases by August 8, 2023, then by that date the parties shall file in the consolidated cases a status report that shall include a proposed schedule for further proceedings.
