ORDER OF AFFIRMANCE

This is a proper person appeal from a district court order denying a petition for a writ of mandamus. Eighth Judicial District Court, Clark County; Susan Johnson, Judge.

Having considered appellant's proper person appeal statement and the district court record, we conclude that reversal of the district court's order is unwarranted. In the underlying matter, appellant filed a petition for a writ of mandamus, seeking an order compelling respondent to act on his appeal. The district court ultimately denied appellant's writ petition, finding that he had failed to comply with relevant procedural rules to perfect his appeal. Because appellant has not demonstrated that the district court abused its discretion in denying his writ petition, see City of Reno v. Reno Gazette–Journal, 119 Nev. 55, 58, 63 P.3d 1147, 1148 (2003) (providing that a district court's decision to deny a writ petition is reviewed for an abuse of discretion), we

ORDER the judgment of the district court AFFIRMED.
