SIMON BARKAGAN & TATYANA BARKAGAN, Petitioners v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Christian N. Weiler, Judge

On July 13, 2023, respondent filed a status report with the Court indicating that petitioners partially responded to the Motion to Compel Production of Documents by providing documents that were already provided in response to respondent's informal discovery requests. On July 14, 2023, petitioner Simon Barkagan filed a status report with the Court indicating that he produced some responsive documents to respondent's Motion to Compel Production of Documents and Responses to Interrogatories. Respondent notes that some of the documents received on June 14, 2023, were problematic and that petitioners' counsel represented that they are still reviewing, organizing, and potentially gathering additional documents.

Both parties indicated that more time was needed to complete discovery and to prepare the case for trial or other disposition.

Upon consideration of the foregoing, it is

ORDERED that on or before October 16, 2023, the parties shall file a joint (or separate if preferred) status report informing the Court of the then-current status of this case.
