Hanna E. Bailey Petitioner v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue Respondent

ORDER

MAURICE B. FOLEY CHIEF JUDGE

On November 1, 2021, petitioner filed an application for waiver of filing fee. Upon review, it appears that petitioner's signature on that document (which is required to be signed under penalty of perjury) was made using a cursive computer font. While the Court permits the electronic filing of documents with imaged or digitized signatures, the use of cursive fonts is not acceptable. See Frequently Asked Questions About DAWSON on the Court's website, www.ustaxcourt.gov, for examples of acceptable imaged or digitized signatures.

Accordingly, upon due consideration, it is

ORDERED that petitioner's application for waiver of filing fee, filed November 1, 2021, is denied. It is further

ORDERED that, on or before November 22, 2021, petitioner shall pay the Court's $60.00 filing fee for this case or submit a proper application for waiver of filing fee for consideration.
