A teacher appeals a trial court judgment dismissing her claims of racial discrimination, that she was a victim of retaliation, and a hostile work environment. For the following reasons we affirm.
The appellant, a black schoolteacher, filed suit against the Ascension Parish School Board when it selected a white schoolteacher to fill a Supervisor of Vocational Education vacancy. The trial court found that appellant was not the victim of racial discrimination or retaliation and that she was not subjected to a hostile work environment, but rather the other candidate who happened to be white, was simply more qualified.
We have been favored by the trial court's well-considered written reasons setting forth the facts as recited herein. For the reasons stated by the trial court we conclude that the trial court did not err in this decision. After a thorough review of the record, we affirm the trial court judgment. The cost of this appeal is assessed against the Claudetter Aubert, the plaintiff-appellant. This memorandum opinion is rendered in accordance with Uniform Rules — Courts of Appeal Rule, 2-16. IB.
