Because petitioner failed to appear when the case was called for trial in Los Angeles, California, on April 22, 2024; because petitioner has failed to respond to the Order to Show Cause, served April 25, 2024; and for the reasons contained in respondent's Motion to Dismiss for Lack of Prosecution, filed April 10, 2024, it is

ORDERED that the above-referenced Order to Show Cause is made absolute. It is further

ORDERED that respondent's motion is granted, and this case is dismissed upon the stated ground. It is further

ORDERED and DECIDED that there is a $4,222 deficiency in petitioner's 2020 federal income tax.
