WALTER WAYNE ASHER, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Christian N. Weiler, Judge.

This case was called from the Court's April 22, 2024, Memphis, Tennessee trial session. Petitioner appeared via telephone and informed the Court that he could not file his tax returns for the tax years at issue because he did not have the documents necessary to complete the returns. At the conclusion of the hearing, respondent agreed to send petitioner his Wage and Income Transcripts to ensure he could file his income tax returns. On July 22, 2024, respondent filed a status report informing the Court that petitioner has not yet filed his returns, however, petitioner has proposed a schedule in which he intends to file them.

Considering the foregoing, it is

ORDERED that on or before October 30, 2024, the parties shall file a joint report (or separate reports, if preferred) informing the Court whether or not petitioner's delinquent tax returns have been filed.
