MICHAEL ARDIS, Appellant v. THE STATE OF TEXAS, Appellee

On Appeal from the 265th Judicial District Court Dallas County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. F21-10832-R

ORDER

ERIN A. NOWELL JUSTICE

Before the Court is appellant's April 20, 2022 motion for additional time to file his pro se response to the Anders brief filed by appointed appellate counsel. Because appointed appellate counsel stated in the Anders brief that he provided a copy of the record to appellant, we will not order the record be made available to appellant.

We GRANT appellant's motion and ORDER appellant's pro se response due by June 22, 2022.

Appellant also states he wishes to file a petition for discretionary review in the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals; because we have no jurisdiction over the filing of petitions for discretionary review, we decline to rule on that request. We note, however, that once an opinion and judgment issue in this appeal, appellant has thirty days in which to file a petition for discretionary review with the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. See Tex. R. App. P. 68.2, 68.3.

We DIRECT the Clerk to send a copy of this order to appellant Michael Ardis, Titus County Jail, C-Dorm; 304 S. Van Buren Ave., Mount Pleasant, TX 75455 and to counsel for all parties.
