AME & FE INVESTMENTS, LTD., Appellant v. NEC NETWORKS, LLC, d/b/a CapturRX, and Chris Hotchkiss, Appellee
From the 73rd Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas Trial Court No. 2012CI11952 Honorable David A. Canales, Judge Presiding
ORDER
LUZ ELENA D. CHAPA, JUSTICE
Appellee's brief was originally due October 30, 2024; however, the court granted an extension of time until December 2, 2024. On November 20, 2024, appellee filed a motion asking for an extension of time to January 2, 2025 to file the brief
We grant in part the motion and order Shelby O'Brien to file appellee's brief by December 30, 2024. Counsel is advised that no further extensions of time will be granted absent a motion, filed before the brief is due, that (1) demonstrates extraordinary circumstances justifying further delay, (2) advises the court of the efforts counsel has expended in preparing the brief, and (3) provides the court reasonable assurance that the brief will be completed and filed by the requested extended deadline. The court does not generally consider a heavy work schedule to be an extraordinary circumstance.
