AME & FE INVESTMENTS, LTD., Appellant v. NEC NETWORKS, LLC, d/b/a CapturRX, and Chris Hotchkiss, Appellee
From the 73rd Judicial District Court, Bexar County, Texas Trial Court No. 2012CI11952 Honorable David A. Canales, Judge Presiding
ORDER
Luz Elena D. Chapa, Justice
The brief of appellant, AME & FE Investments, Ltd., was due July 17, 2024. On July 9, 2024, appellant filed a motion for an extension of time to August 16, 2024. The motion was granted. On August 9, 2024, appellant moved for a second extension of time to September 16, 2024 to file its brief.
We grant the motion and order appellant to file its brief no later than September 16, 2024. Counsel is advised that no further extensions of time will be granted absent a motion, filed before the brief is due, that (1) demonstrates extraordinary circumstances justifying further delay, (2) advises the court of the efforts counsel has expended in preparing the brief, and (3) provides the court reasonable assurance that the brief will be completed and filed by the requested extended deadline. The court does not generally consider a heavy work schedule to be an extraordinary circumstance.
