JANIS ALLEN, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Kathleen Kerrigan, Chief Judge

This case is before the Court on petitioner's Motion to Proceed Remotely, filed July 29, 2022. Respondent filed a response to petitioner's motion on February 22, 2023, which describes the status of the case and states that the parties have reached a basis of settlement. Upon due consideration and in view of the parties' filings, it is

ORDERED that the motion is denied without prejudice. It is further

ORDERED that, unless the parties have submitted a proposed stipulated decision by August 18, 2023, then by that date, the parties shall file a joint status report (or separate reports, if a joint report is not possible), in which the parties shall therein describe the current status of the case. The Court encourages the parties to cooperate and communicate with their opponent, and to exchange documents and information, and to develop this case for trial or other resolution, so that the parties can resolve among themselves any issues that can be resolved without the Court's involvement.
