CONNIE ALBERT, Petitioner v. COMMISSIONER OF INTERNAL REVENUE, Respondent

ORDER

Kathleen Kerrigan Chief Judge.

By Order served July 15, 2022, the Court directed petitioner to file an amended petition and to pay the Court's $60.00 filing fee. On August 1, 2022, a Letter Dated July 20, 2022, was filed on behalf of petitioner, indicating that petitioner wishes this case to be closed. However, rather than being signed by petitioner, that letter was signed by Barbara Meinik, who states that she is petitioner's power of attorney. The Court, unlike the IRS, does not recognize powers of attorney. Ms. Meinik is not admitted to practice before this Court and, therefore, cannot represent petitioner in this case.

Upon due consideration of the foregoing, it is

ORDERED that the Letter Dated July 20, 2022, is stricken from the Court's record in this case.
