In Re: Ann Rau Abadie, applying for supervisory writs, 22nd Judicial District Court, Parish of St. Tammany, No. 2014-12804. BEFORE: WHIPPLE, C.J., McCLENDON AND HIGGINBOTHAM, JJ. WRIT GRANTED. We find that this suit involves "incidental matters that are associated with the dissolution of marriages," within the meaning of Rule 23.0 of the Family Court Rules of the 22 Judicial District Court. Accordingly, this suit constitutes a "family matter" within the meaning of the Family Court Rules. While Rule 25.0 of the Family Court Rules indicates that the general jurisdiction divisions and the limited family and juvenile jurisdiction divisions of the 22 Judicial District Court possess concurrent subject matter jurisdiction over family matters like this one, Rule 23.0 nevertheless requires that suits involving family matters be allotted to one of the family divisions of the 22 Judicial District Court. See 22 JDC Family Court Rule 23.0. We therefore exercise our supervisory jurisdiction and order the district court to transfer Mr. Abadie's suit to Family Division "L", where the divorce proceeding against Mr. Abadie is currently pending.
