Section 5108 - Authority to issue warrants(a) The court may order a parent, guardian, or custodian to appear at any hearing or to appear at the hearing with the child who is the subject of a petition.(b) If, after being summoned, cited, or otherwise notified to appear, a party fails to do so, the court may issue a warrant for the person's appearance.(c) If the child is with the parent, guardian, or custodian, the court may issue a warrant for the person to appear in court with the child or, in the alternative, the court may issue an order for an officer to pick up the child and bring the child to court.(d) If a summons cannot be served or the welfare of the child requires that the child be brought forthwith to the court, the court may issue a warrant for the parent, guardian, or custodian to appear in court with the child. In the alternative, the court may issue an order for an officer to pick up the child and bring the child to court during court hours.(e) A person summoned who fails to appear without reasonable cause may be found in contempt of court.Added 2007, No. 185 (Adj.
