YUELING RUAN, Appellant v. CHI-WEI WANG, Appellee

On Appeal from the 468th Judicial District Court Collin County, Texas Trial Court Cause No. 468-52110-2022

ORDER

ROBERT D. BURNS, III CHIEF JUSTICE

This is an interlocutory appeal from the trial court's September 21, 2022 order denying appellant's plea to the jurisdiction. Appellee has filed "Petitioner's Objection and Response to Respondent/Appellant's Interlocutory Appeal" which we construe as a motion to dismiss the appeal for want of jurisdiction. Before the Court is appellant's December 6, 2022 motion requesting an extension of time to file her brief "explaining the Court's jurisdiction over this interlocutory appeal." We construe the motion as seeking an extension of time to file a response to appellant's motion to dismiss. We GRANT the motion only to the extent that appellant shall file any response to appellee's motion to dismiss no later than December 19, 2022.

The Court suspends the current deadline for appellant's brief on the merits. Should the Court determine, after reviewing appellant's response to appellee's motion to dismiss, that it has jurisdiction over the appeal, the Court will set a new deadline for appellant's brief on the merits.
