At an abatement hearing to determine the future course of Appellant Yanez's appeal, the trial court determined that appointed counsel Patrick Montgomery would continue to represent Appellant. Now that the supplemental trial court record on the abatement hearing has been filed with this court, appellate deadlines are reinstated. This court is setting a new deadline for the opening brief of May 15, 2023. If no opening brief is filed by that date, this court will initiate contempt proceedings against counsel. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.8(b)(4).
