MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

In connection with the forthcoming sentences of John Rigas and Timothy Rigas, the Court has received numerous memoranda from counsel for the United States Attorney's office, the Security and Exchange Commission and Defendants' counsel. All of these documents are to be docketed and filed with the Court and thereby to be made public documents subject to the following deletions:

(1) any quotation from the Pre-Sentence Report of the Probation Department;
(2) any quotation from letters submitted by individuals in connection with the sentence except to the extent to which consent has been received to such disclosure by the party submitting such letter.

The Court will not file any letters sent directly to it by individuals unless the senders consent to their letters being made public documents in which event they will be filed subsequent to sentence. Counsel for the parties are encouraged to comply with this Order as expeditiously as circumstances permit and to consult with each other should there be any question as to the application of this Order to any of the voluminous submissions which have been received by the Court.

SO ORDERED.
