U.S. v. Ramsey

1 Citing case

  1. United States v. Addison

    CRIMINAL ACTION 08-00204-KD (S.D. Ala. Aug. 20, 2013)

Addison filed his motion more than three years after the jury entered the verdict of guilty on August 4, 2008. Addison argues that the time period has been equitably tolled because extraordinary circumstances prevented him from obtaining the newly discovered evidence. In United States v. Ramsey, 444 Fed. Appx. 356 (11th Cir. 2011), the circuit court stated that A district court "may vacate any judgment and grant a new trial" in a criminal case "if the interest of justice so requires."
