U.S. v. Mendez

United States District Court, S.D. Iowa
Dec 27, 2004
4-04-cr-199 (S.D. Iowa Dec. 27, 2004)

Opinion

4-04-cr-199.

December 27, 2004

ORDER

Before the Court is Defendant Mendez' Motion To Continue Trial. The Motion states that neither the Assistant United States Attorney nor counsel for codefendants object to the requested continuance. The Court finds that the ends of Justice served by granting the continuance on Defendant's Motion outweigh the best interest of the public and the Defendants in a speedy trial so as to be excludable time under the Speedy Trial Act, 18 U.S.C. § 3161(h)(A). The Motion, therefore, is granted. The Clerk of Court shall place this case on the trial calendar for the two week period beginning March 7, 2004.

IT IS SO ORDERED.
