ORDER

The above-styled matter is presently before the court on plaintiff's motion for default judgment against all potential claimants including Emeka Nwandu and the Wachovia Corporation [docket no. 16].

On December 5, 2006, plaintiff brought this action pursuant to 18 U.S.C. §§ 981(a)(1)(C), 1029 and 1344 seeking forfeiture of $18,580.00 in United States Currency (Defendant Currency), one United States Postal Service ("USPS") money order valued at $1,000.00, one USPS money order valued at $990.00, one USPS money order valued at $1,000.00 and one WalMart money order valued at $120.00 ("Defendant Money Orders"). On April 4, 2007, the Clerk of Court entered default as to all potential claimants, including Emeka Nwandu and Wachovia Corporation. Plaintiff now moves for default judgment and an order forfeiting the Defendant Currency and Defendant Money Orders to the United States.

To date, no one has filed any claim to the Defendant Currency and Defendant Money Orders and the time for filing such claims has expired. Furthermore, no answer has been filed in this forfeiture action and no response was filed to the motion for default judgment.

Therefore, for the reasons set forth in plaintiff's motion for default judgment, the court hereby GRANTS plaintiff's motion for default judgment [docket no. 16] against Emeka Nwandu, the Wachovia Corporation, and all other potential claimants. The Clerk of Court is DIRECTED to enter a default judgment in favor of the United States and against the Defendant Currency and Defendant Money Orders. All right, title and interest in the Defendant Currency and Defendant Money Orders is hereby condemned, forfeited and vested int eh United States and shall be disposed of according to law.
