Following the initial appeal, which challenged the factual underpinnings of the child support award, we vacated the January 18, 2013 order and remanded the matter to the trial court for additional factual findings. On remand, we explicitly required the judge to issue factual findings as to the nature, basis, and amount of income imputed to defendant and the income of plaintiff to be used for determining child support. This court retained jurisdiction.
The trial court conducted further review and, by agreement, the parties have determined child support, as set forth in a March 13, 2015 consent order. Further, the judge explained the parties consented to all aspects of the order, except defendant objected to including his disability insurance payments in his monthly income. Specifically, defendant received temporary disability payments for the period during which he recovered from a knee injury. The judge detailed his findings and legal conclusions regarding the inclusion of the disability payments in defendant's income when fixing child support. We affirm substantially for the reasons set forth in the judge's written letter opinion dated March 12, 2015. R. 2:11-3(e)(1)(A).
