DECISION AND ENTRY SETTING BRIEFING SCHEDULE FOLLOWING
CONCLUSION OF ORAL AND EVIDENTIARY HEARING ON
DEFENDANT'S MOTION FOR DETERMINATION OF DEFENDANT'S
MENTAL COMPETENCY (DOC. #30); DIRECTIONS TO COUNSEL WITH
REGARDS TO EXHIBITS
On March 24, 2014, at the conclusion of the oral and evidentiary hearing on Defendant's motion for a determination of his competency, filed pursuant to 18 U.S.C. § 4241 (Doc. #30), the following briefing schedule was discussed and agreed upon: within twenty-one days following the filing of the transcript of the aforesaid oral hearing, conducted on September 11, 2013, and March 24, 2014, Defendant will file his memorandum in support of a finding of lack of competency. This memorandum will be filed within twenty-one days thereafter by the Government's memorandum contra. Fourteen days following the Government's submission, the parties will file joint/simultaneous reply memoranda.
Not later than the close of business on Monday, March 31, 2014, the parties were to have filed either a joint stipulation as to the admissibility of exhibits referred to during the above referenced hearing or, in the alternative, a list of which exhibits are being offered, and the objections thereto. This has been accomplished. The parties will have seven (7) days from date to advise the Court whether it wishes to lodge any objections to the opposing party's preferred exhibits and, if so, the specific exhibits objected to and the basis of said objection(s).
