UNITED STATES OF AMERICA v. MICHAEL ANTONIO RUSSELL

REPORT AND RECOMMENDATION CONCERNING PLEA OF GUILTY

SONJA F. BIVINS UNITED STATES MAGISTRATE JUDGE

The Defendant, Michael Antonio Russell, by consent, appeared before the undersigned pursuant to Rule 11 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure, and entered a plea of guilty to Counts 1 and 5 of the Indictment on June 30, 2022.

After cautioning and examining the Defendant under oath concerning each of the subjects mentioned in Rule 11, the Court determined that the guilty plea was knowledgeable and voluntary, and the offense(s) charged is supported by an independent basis in fact as to each of the essential elements of the offenses. The Court therefore recommends that the plea of guilty be accepted and that Defendant be adjudged guilty and have sentence imposed accordingly.
