Opinion

Case No. 3:14cr073

07-17-2014

UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, Plaintiff, v. DERRON GARRETT, Defendant.

JUDGE WALTER H. RICE

DECISION AND ENTRY DECLINING TO MODIFY BOND CONDITIONS BY

RELIEF FROM DETENTION ORDER (DOC. #16)

Based upon a review of the initial Pretrial Services's Report of May 20, 2014, and its July 8, 2014 Supplemental Report to this Court, the Defendant's Motion to Modify Bond Conditions by granting relief from a prior detention order (Doc. #16) is deemed to be not well taken and same is, therefore, overruled in its entirety. In short, this Court, noting the severity of the charges, the prospective penalties therefor, as well as all other factors mentioned in the above reports, concludes that there exists no condition or combination of conditions that will reasonably assure the appearance of the Defendant as required and the safety of the community.
