TRUSTEES OF THE OPERATING PENSION TRUST ET AL v. GAUDENTI AND SONS CORPORATION
Present: Honorable CHRISTINA A. SNYDER, J.
CIVIL MINUTES - GENERAL
Proceedings: (IN CHAMBERS) - ORDER TO SHOW CAUSE WHY DEFAULT JUDGMENT SHOULD NOT BE ENTERED AGAINST DEFENDANT
On April 29, 2024, the Court held a hearing on plaintiffs' motion for default judgment. At the hearing, the Court ordered defendant to obtain counsel within thirty days, up to and including May 29, 2024. See dkt. 23. The Court admonished defendant that if it failed to obtain counsel, the Court would enter default judgment against it. See L.R. 83-2.2.2 (“No organization or entity of any other kind (including corporations, limited liability corporations, partnerships, limited liability partnerships, unincorporated associations, trusts) may appear in any action or proceeding unless represented by an attorney permitted to practice before this Court[.]”).
To date, no counsel has appeared on defendant's behalf.
Accordingly, defendant is ORDERED to SHOW CAUSE on or before August 1, 2024, why default judgment should not be entered against it.
Plaintiffs are ordered to serve a copy of this minute order on defendant forthwith. Thereafter, plaintiffs shall file a proof of service.
IT IS SO ORDERED.
