This is an accelerated appeal from the trial court's denial of appellant's plea to the jurisdiction. Before the Court is the parties' July 19, 2023 agreed motion to abate the appeal. The parties explain they are scheduled for mediation on August 23, 2023, and they request the appeal and any briefing deadlines be abated for sixty days.
We GRANT the motion TO THE EXTENT we SUSPEND all deadlines and ORDER a motion to dismiss or status report filed no later than September 1, 2023.
We DIRECT the Clerk of the Court to send a copy of this order to Dallas County Clerk John F. Warren; Janet E. Wright, Official Court Reporter for County Court at Law No. 3; and the parties.
