STEWART (DYLAN) v. SAN LUIS AMBULANCE, INC.

Dismissal order filed

Petitioner's requests for judicial notice, filed on June 12, 2018, December 14, 2018, and December 28, 2018, are granted.

Respondent's requests for judicial notice, filed on September 11, 2018, and December 14, 2018, are granted.

Amici curiae Allegis Group, Inc., and MarketSource, Inc.'s request for judicial notice, filed on November 26, 2018, is granted.

Amicus curiae American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, Local 4911, United EMS Workers' request for judicial notice, filed on December 24, 2018, is granted.

In light of the passage of Proposition 11, the Emergency Ambulance Employee Safety and Preparedness Act (Gen. Elec. (Nov. 6, 2018), resolution of the questions posed by the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals is no longer “necessary . . . to settle an important question of law.” (Cal. Rules of Court, rule 8.548(f)(1).) We therefore dismiss consideration of the questions. (See id., rules 8.528(b)(1), 8.548(f)(3).)

Votes: Cantil-Sakauye, C. J., Chin, Corrigan, Liu, Cuéllar, Kruger, and Groban, JJ.
