Appellant's brief was originally due on August 14, 2011. By order dated December 7, 2011, this Court granted appellant an extension of time to file his brief until January 9, 2012. We informed appellant that if he failed to file a brief by that date, the appeal would be dismissed. As of today's date, appellant has not filed his brief. Accordingly, we dismiss the appeal. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.8(a)(1) & 42.3(c).
