ORDER

PER CURIAM.

This cause is before the Court on its motion. Appellee's brief is due on Tuesday, April 11, 2023. The Court, having fully examined and considered the record, is of the opinion that, in the interest of justice, appellee should be ORDERED to comply with this deadline. See Tex. R. App. P. 38.6(d) ("The court may also, in the interest of justice, shorten the time for filing briefs and for submission of the case."); 40.2 ("In cases not otherwise given precedence by law, the court of appeals must hear and determine a criminal appeal at the earliest possible time, having due regard for the parties' rights and for the proper administration of justice.").

IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the Honorable Diamond De Leon, counsel for appellee, shall file his brief with this Court on or before 5:00 p.m. on April 11, 2023. The failure to comply with this order will result in referral to the Court for further proceedings.
