STATE OF LOUISIANA v. WILLIAM DAVID POWELL

In Re: William David Powell, applying for supervisory writs, 22nd Judicial District Court, Parish of Washington, No. 10-CR3-110833. BEFORE: McCLENDON, WELCH, AND DRAKE, JJ.

WRIT GRANTED IN PART AND DENIED IN PART. On February 8, 2015, the trial court denied relator's "Motion to Amend/Supplement Post Conviction Relief" filed on or about November 12, 2014. However, the records of the Washington Parish Clerk of Court's Office do not reflect a ruling on relator's application for postconviction relief filed on or about March 10, 2014, which sets forth additional issues from the ones raised in the supplement filed in November 2014. Therefore, relator's writ application is granted in part, and the trial court is ordered to act on relator's application for postconviction relief, filed on or about March 10, 2014, on or before September 4, 2015. A copy of the trial court's action shall be filed in this Court on or before September 11, 2015. In all other respects, the writ application is denied.
