STATE OF LOUISIANA v. JOHNEL MATTHEWS


In Re: Johnel Matthews, applying for supervisory writs, 19th Judicial District Court, Parish of East Baton Rouge, No. 06-08-0697. BEFORE: WELCH, THERIOT AND CHUTZ, JJ.

WRIT DENIED ON THE SHOWING MADE. Relator failed to include the master prison record he received May 19, 2010, the letter he received from the Department of Public Safety and Corrections on September 11, 2010, the master prison record he received in April of 2015, and any other documents that might support the claim raised in the application for postconviction relief. See Uniform Rules of Louisiana Courts of Appeal, Rules 2-18.7 & 4-9. In the event relator elects to file a new application with this Court, the application shall be filed on or before December 12, 2016. Any future filing on this issue should include the entire contents of this application, the missing items noted above, and a copy of this ruling.
