BEFORE: WHIPPLE, C.J., WELCH AND GRAIN, JJ.

WRIT DENIED ON THE SHOWING MADE. Relator did not include a copy of the motion for preliminary hearing, the orders setting the hearing dates, or any other documentation in support of the arguments made in the writ application. Moreover, we are informed by the office of the Clerk of Court of St. Tammany Parish that relator is represented by counsel. Relator gives no indication that counsel is aware of and joins in this writ application.

Welch, J., dissents and would grant the writ application. If It has not already conducted the preliminary examination (or made a determination the request has been withdrawn) , I would order the trial court to conduct the hearing promptly, or to order relator released from his bond obligation.
